Wendy Rouse is an Associate Professor of History at San Jose State University (SJSU) whose research focuses on the history of women and children in the Progressive Era. Rouse combines her former experience as a high school teacher with her training as an academic historian to model engaging and interactive learning strategies for the future educators in the Social Science Teacher Preparation Program at SJSU. Rouse has a B.A. and M.A. in History from Sacramento State University, and a Ph.D. in History from the University of California, Davis.
