Nicole Brown
Colonial Williamsburg Foundation
Nicole Brown has been interpreting women at the Foundation since 2014. Her liberal arts education from William & Mary has been essential to shaping her method of interpretation. Nicole's work with Ann Wagner enables her to talk about four topics which she believes are essential to understanding Revolutionary America: slavery, education, religion, and women's history. She represented Colonial Williamsburg nationally in 2107 when she received a Batten-First Union Fellowship through the Thomas Jefferson Foundation to study women's education. In 2018, Nicole presented to an international community of interpreters in France on Ann Wager, the Bray School system, and how we can use first-person interpretation to discuss culturally sensitive topics.
