Connecting the 95 Theses and Civic Responsibility
This session will discuss how to bring current event topics that are relevant to students in both their academic and personal lives. By creating a writing activity that is accessible by all learners (on all curriculum pathways), students will connect the causes of the Protestant Reformation with the issues that affect their lives today.

Social Studies Lesson Plans Incorporating Pieces from the San Diego Museum of Art
Using examples from the African American Cultural Humanities (AC) curriculum, educators will collaborate with others in various activities and walk away with fully developed, rigorous, results-based lesson plans in alignment with the California History-Social Sciences Framework. The focus will be on providing resources implement the humanities Modeling and coaching will be provided on instructional techniques to differentiate teaching and alignment.
