Developing Historical Thinking Using Artifacts and Images
Historical thinking encourages students to ask sophisticated, probing questions that lead to a deeper understanding about history and their world, think critically, and effectively analyze information and sources.  Students don't do this intuitively.  Throughout this session, participants will engage in hands-on experiences with objects and images/print materials using strategies designed to teach historical thinking routines in the classroom.
