This presentation will provide an update on the content standards, curriculum framework rollouts and implementation, model curricula, instructional materials, professional learning, and other current projects of the California Department of Education related to history–social science.

Dr. Kenneth McDonald was the project lead for the update of the History–Social Science Framework and the 2017 History–Social Science Adoption. He has been with the CDE for 18 years and holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of California, Riverside.
