A mass exodus of 50,000 people, ⅓ LA’s Mexican community, 60% American citizens, is unknown and not taught in California schools.  We need to teach how Mexican families were shipped to Mexico.  We need to teach how Repatriation led to Sleepy Lagoon and the Zoot Suit Riots during World War II while forever changing Los Angeles and its people.
