Students are attending class with more social-emotional barriers than ever before. Participants will engage in strategies to create a classroom community that allows students to feel safe and engaged through the demonstration of love and the utilization of equity strategies. Additionally, these classroom strategies will allow teachers to raise expectations and produce better understandings of historical thinking and content.
